Youth Ministry

What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us who can be against us?
Romans 8:31

The Journey

At Hanover Friends, we want to partner with families and foster relationships in a way that allows our group to encourage each other along the amazing journey that God has planned! We explore the truth of God’s word in fun, relevant ways for the purpose of growing our faith in, and relationship with, Jesus.

Sunday Afternoon Small Group (Youth Connect)

Youth Connect

On the 2nd Sunday of the month, we gather for a special time to connect with each other and to help each other connect with God. On the 4th Sunday of the month, we meet at Pole Green Park (weather permitting) to learn how to help others connect to God.

Wednesday Night Youth Group (The Journey)

Youth

Middle school and high school students meet for youth group on Wednesday nights for “The Journey”. This is a wonderful time of both fellowship and learning. Students have opportunities for indoor and outdoor games, snacks, Bible teaching, and prayer; as well as, off site trips for fun activities such as getting ice cream, going swimming or a destination unknown.

Sunday School

Sunday School

Middle school and high school students meet together for fellowship and refreshments at the beginning of the Sunday school hour every Sunday morning. They share prayer requests and have an engaging Sunday school lesson.

Our Current Sunday School classes include:

Journey Sunday School

Teacher(s): Charles Smith and Donnie Overcast
Topic of Study: Class is making their way through the Bible
For Ages: Middle and High School
Meets: Weekly on Sunday at 9:15 am
Location: Youth Room

Since the Bible is the Word of God, it is obviously important to read it and understand it.  A key to understanding the Bible is to recognize that from beginning to end, God is telling a story.  With our student Journey Sunday School class, we help our students journey through the Bible so they can better see how their story is part of God’s story.
